In Israeli schools, students learn the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. It is about a very difficult choice that people have to make very often. o matter what you choose, you will gain something and lose something different at the same time. Many years ago I had to make a very difficult decision: to go to the medical faculty or to the faculty of foreign languages. I choose the second, "and that has made all the difference", as it was said in the forenamed poem. Therefore, medicine is my road not taken. I graduated from Simferopol State University (Ukraine) and started teaching in junior high school. At the same time, I gave private lessons and worked part-time as an interpreter.
Some years later, in the late 1990s, I decided to move to Israel where I had to take a teachers' training course and started teaching in junior high and high school. I have taken numerous in-service courses and participated in international EFL conferences.
Now I am a Ph.D. candidate at Atlantic International University and my thesis deals with inclusive practices and special education needs.
